A quick check on Wiki has the GD on before CCR, and they were followed by Janis giving one of the performances of her life. Of course we know the conditions played a role. And the Dead played the shortest set of their career, only 5 songs noted. Fogerty is blowing a little smoke... even though this crowd may not have been very receptive to the relatively unknown GD.
